House contracts signed!
After a couple of weeks of waiting for my solicitor to finalise the contracts I finally completed on my new house today!
Time to head down and collect the keys from the estate agents!
Not moving till Saturday but it will give me chance to give the place a good clean!
Assisting UKCC Level 2 Course
Following on from observing a UKCC Level 2 Assessment I was invited back to Edale YHA to assist on a four day UKCC Level 2 course.
Assisting on the four day course was useful as it allowed me get a greater understanding on the structure of the course. Phil Russell led the course with Glen Lewis the second tutor and me assisting. It was good to work with Lewis again and a great opportunity to meet Phil. With Phil’s racing background he brought a good insight of competition and composite boats to the course.
The four days were structured around the 11 candidates and had to be altered on a daily basis due to most members missing out on the Level 1 course gaining APL (Accredited Prior Learning) to the Level 2 course. By adapting the course to the candidates it allowed them to develop further as coaches.
Observing UKCC Level 2 Assessment
As I continue to train to assess the new BCU/UKCC coaching awards I’m taking the opportunity to get out and observe as many courses as possible.
I was fortunate to be invited to Combs Reservoir, just outside Chapel-en-le-Frith in the Peak District, to observe a one day Level 2 assessment. It was good to watch how the assessment was structured and to observe Leo Hoare and Glen Lewis run the assessment.
